(95p) FLYERS ATTACKING FORTIFICATIONS Flyers may attack fortified targets in the same way as infantry, hitting on 6s with no charge bonus. They may never occupy fortifications and thus if they win a round of combat against troops in fortifications, they may not pursue them for a second round of combat and may either stand their ground, or fall back. The defenders, however, do still have to retreat. Flyers are unique in that they are the only units that can actually attack units stationed in a tower without having to do so from the courtyard or adjoining ramparts. The normal rules for attacking towers still apply though, so the defenders will not retreat and all the missile troops will be able to stand and fire at the attacking flyers. Walls, ramparts and towers are difficult terrain for flying creatures so if they are attacked and lose a round of combat or if they are pushed back they are destroyed. Of course if flyers try to assault fortifications, boiling oil attacks cannot be used against them. CHARACTER MOVEMENT As commanders are too valuable to risk their lives uselessly it is not allowed for them to enter fortress sections unless they are part of a unit. They are allowed to be placed on unoccupied fortress sections or onto sections that are occupied by their own troops. If a character unit on a fortress section is touched by the enemy units it has to join a friendly unit within 30cm. The buildings or the height of the walls do not restrict the movement of the character no matter if it has a flying mount or not. MAGIC In the process of building a fortress in fantasy worlds magic grounding incantations are integrated, antimagic runes are carved in the walls and magic absorbing gems are used. So it is not possible to use magic that crosses the ramparts or walls of a fortress. However, it is allowed to use magic spells on units that are assaulting a wall as well as in a combat that takes place there. So for example an assaulting unit may get extra attacks by “Rage of Chaos” and these extra attacks will stay as explained in the rules even if the unit crosses the ramparts. “Raise Dead” will also work on or even behind the walls of the fortress as long as there is enough room to place the raised unit and the raised unit touches any units in combat.

The new landscape of the post-industrial city has emerged with a socio-cultural milieu that is characterized by de-centralized, stratified and destabilized spatial cartography and controlled under the post-Fordism algorithmic hegemony. In our collective consciousness, the pathogenetic substrate of the urban apparatus is where the individual has been embedded psychologically and correlates with the mesh work of neuro-economical abstraction, experiencing debilitating alienation and psychosomatic dislocation. The regime of neuro-capitalism disintegrates the preceding modalities of social collectivity in favor of network-based immaterial connectivity. It depersonalizes urban dwellers in favor of the sensorial data of neural subsumption and the digital economy. Ryota Matsumoto (松本 良多) is a leading new media artist in Japan and he is known as one of the progenitors of the postdigital art movement. Born in Tokyo, he was raised in Hong Kong and Japan. He received a Master of Architecture degree from University of Pennsylvania in 2007 after his studies at Architectural Association in London, Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art and University of Miami in early 90’s. Matsumoto has previously collaborated with a cofounder of the Metabolist Movement, Kisho Kurokawa, and with Arata Isozaki, Peter Christopherson, Cesar Pelli and MIT Media Lab before establishing his office. As a designer and consultant of Nihon Seikei Inc. and Japanese railway, he has worked on high-profile projects including Kyushu University Ito Campus masterplan(2003-2005), Shinjuku redevelopment project in Tokyo(2009-2012), Bach Mai hospital in Hanoi(2000) and Qingdao mixed-use development in China(2011). He has presented his work on posthumanism, multidisciplinary design and visual culture at the 5th symposium of the Imaginaries of the Future at Cornell University, the Espaciocenter workshop at TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, Oslo National Academy of the Arts, UCI Claire Trevor School of the Arts, iDMAa Conference 2017 and NTT InterCommunication Center as a literary critic and artist. As a video producer, he has worked with Peter Christopherson of Coil and Hipgnosis for Japanese Nike commercial and contributed to the promotional projects for his first solo album as Threshold Houseboys Choir. His academic career started as a teaching assistant for architectural historian, Vincent Joseph Scully Jr. and his seminar, the Natural and Manmade in 1993. He continued his pursuit in urban studies and participated in seminal research projects with MIT Media Lab and KieranTimberlake exploring high-rise modular housing, sustainability and design interventions for Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2005. He has served as the MFA advisor of Transart institute, University of Plymouth and teaches at Asagaya Institute of Art and Design as a director of Hybrid Media Research Lab. Matsumoto is a research associate at the New Centre of Research Practice found by Mohammad Salemy, Jason Adams and Reza Negarestani. He has been active as a guest critic on design reviews at Cornell University, Cooper Union, Columbia GSAPP, Rhode Island School of Design and Pratt Institute. Matsumoto is the recipient of Visual Art Open First Prize, FILE (Electronic Language International Festival) Prix Lux Prize, Florence Biennale Mixed Media 2nd Place Award, Premio Ora Prize Italy 5th Edition, Premio Ora Prize Spain 1st Edition, Donkey Art Prize III Edition Finalist, Best of Show IGOA Toronto, Art Kudos Best of Show Award, Lynx International Prize Be Art Builder Award, Lumen Prize Finalist and Western Bureau Art Prize Honorable Mention. Listed here are the characters of the "Bungakushoujo" series, in order of importance and/or how much I like them. Recurring characters Amano Tooko (天野 遠子) The titular self-styled "bungakushoujo". Third year high school student at Seijou Gakuen. A connoisseur, or to be more accurate, gourmet, of books. Eats books (literally), and cannot taste the food other people eat. Apparently gets this from her father. Likes sweet things, hates horror. Eats everything Konoha writes her, no matter how odd they might taste. No good with sports and machines. Currently living with the Sakurai family. 俺の嫁。 Inoue Konoha (井上 心葉) The narrator, and protagonist. Second year high school student at Seijou Gakuen. Submitted a novel he wrote, Sora no Niteiru (青空に似ている), in his third year of middle school to a literary magazine under the pen-name of "Inoue Miu" (井上ミウ) which ended up winning first prize and becoming a bestseller and having movie and drama adaptions and so on, but Miu s attempted suicide occurs shortly after and since then he has avoided getting involved with other people, sworn off writing, and occasionally suffered from attacks of hyperventilation. The beam is mainly effective against objects at or near the same height as the ceiling.
